Today is technically the second day of this 1,000 mile ride and 78 miles and 3,000ft have to be completed, for a total of 155mi to date. Because I only arrived in Seattle back from a conference in Buenos Aires mid-day yesterday, I had to delay my start on the Big Ride two days... The good news for me is that the group will only reach the coast this afternoon, so I will not miss a foot of the Pacific Coast.
I am now hopping on one of the three support vehicles that will take us (me and Jennifer, another rider that is joining the group today) to Cape Disappointment State Park, where the camp will be set tonight.
Tomorrow we will be hitting the road about 8:30am and will be heading south to Nehalem Bay in Oregon, south of Cannon Beach, near Manzanita. More and better stories tomorrow,
