Not too far in time from starting this epic ride, I am though far from Seattle, posting this blog from Santiago, very excited about the idea of getting on the road soon. -

On Sunday Adrienne and I went to the Ballard locks
the salmon are running, cohos and chinooks
we watched them through the glass,
resting and sucking the water through their mouths
it made me think of cyclists riding, irrepressible,
borne back the same path they were born
.....good luck on the ride
